Logging in will give you access to all student facilities, including your personal Image Gallery, Question & Answer sessions, Critique and Comment area and the Campus Cafe - a place to meet with TCI students and instructors throughout the school, to discuss assignments, projects, techniques and share photographic experiences. The Compelling Image features a multi-faceted curriculum, designed to provide maximum interaction - a "virtual classroom," if you like. Students benefit not just from timely instructor feedback, answers to student questions and tips based upon extensive experience, but from the enthusiastic input of fellow students, as well – all transparently visible to everyone in the course.
As an enrolled student - you'll receive:
• WEEKLY LESSONS - Each Wednesday you’ll receive a new printable and downloadable lesson via email. In clear, easy to understand text and rich illustrative pictures (film clips for video courses / photographs and video for multimedia offerings) you’ll be introduced to a new skill-set, concept or technique that will contribute significantly to your expertise as an image-maker.
• WEEKLY ASSIGNMENTS - At the end of each weekly lesson will be an assignment which you will have 10 days to complete and upload to The Compelling Image website for instructor critique and comments and those offered by fellow classmates. Weekly assignments will focus on the exact principles and/or skills covered in each weekly lesson - all of which will help you to advance in your development as a creator of powerful and effective visuals.
• WEEKLY CRITIQUES OF YOUR WORK – Every assignment that our Instructors give is hands-on and direction-oriented. This means that each assignment clearly relates to what has been taught in that week’s lesson. Timely feedback is the main ingredient in our design for teaching image-making online. With it, effort and frustration will be trimmed from the learning-curve and your learning investment will grow from effective and efficient Instructor attention to your work. Within 48 hours of its due-date, you will receive direct, easy-to-understand and constructive critique of your assignment results. Composed of clear and insightful analysis of your work, suggestions, tips and advice for future work, these weekly instructor critiques are just one valuable component of your online learning experience with TCI.
