But whatever the genre, there are set ways to achieve a stunning result - tried-and-true steps through which to ensure that your video film is an overall technical and aesthetic success. This online videography course, designed for complete beginners to those seeking a comprehensive refresher, will start the cameras rolling for you and once your first production is finished - we're certain there'll be a sequel.

- Geared to those with Introductory Level video experience.
- Develop foundation and essential video production skills.
- At course’s end, you will have learned how to produce a professionally-crafted, 3-minute video clip you’ll be proud to upload to internet venues such as; YouTube, or screen for family and friends. You will also be well-positioned to venture further into the creative and exciting field of video movie-making.
Toolbox Needs
- Digital video camera (and it need not be “top-of-the-line”).
- A computer with at least 20GB of free storage space and Firewire or fast USB connection.
- Basic editing skills using video editing software (e.g. iMovie for Mac; Free trial version of Ulead’s Video Studio 11 or Windows Movie Maker for PC).
- Knowledge of Mpeg 2 and or Quicktime .mov
- Last but not least – a degree of self-discipline, curiosity, and a “sense of adventure”.
